Yeah, it has one of the worst posters, and it had little to no marketing. Maybe they blew their budget on Hopkins… Who knows, but it was entertaining enough for me.

It’s a reality based film about Burt Munro (Hopkins) who is a New Zealander with an obsession of making his old Indian motorcycle go faster and his journey of both getting to America and traveling from LA to Bonneville (Utah) in the mid to late 60′s.

It can be a little slow at times but it was always endearing with a long lead up to its appropriate climax in Bonneville. What struck me the most of anything was that this was an adventure that could never take place in a similar form in modern days.

The acting and filming were all solid, and the only real detraction for me was that it did drag at times … And there was the whole believability that Hopkins could fit into that motorcycle. But I did like it for the most part being a car and speed enthusiast (I live in Indianapolis – duh). Barely a 3 of 5.
