“Little Man” is rated PG-13 for “crude and sexual humor throughout”.

That’s a shocker since it is a Wayans movie, with basic Wayans comedy and basic Wayans directing. (Though I am shocked they didn’t go for the R rating).

However, instead of perverting other people’s films, this time the focus is on the possibility of an ex-con “little person” posing as a baby to recover some stolen merchandise.

Why did I watch this? Who knows … Maybe it’s my sister’s irrational fear of little people. For that same reason, if they ever make “Little Clown Man” – I’ll have to see that for sure.

So I pretty much expected a blah comedy wrapped around a few sincere plot devices, and that’s what it was. It’s like a little more rude “Look Who’s Talking”, but with Wayans’ and fictional criminals in the place of scientologists.

I will give them kudos for doing a good job in superimposing Marlon Wayans’ face on the body of the little people. It was pretty well done in that respect. Too bad the rest of it was centered around bad innuendo and jokes about getting hit in the nuts. It’s like watching a 98-minute, less funny, America’s Funniest Home Videos.

And I know this is a short review (I wrote that without thinking about it), but there’s nothing else really to the movie. I will say that I wish Keenen would go back in time and do another slapstick movie in the spirit of “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka”. Nothing since has been nearly as good to me.

This needed to be just a little longer, and a little better on the funny. As it was, I shouldn’t have wasted a Netflix on it. “Little Man” gets just a 2 of 5. Just wait and see it on TNT or USA if you really want. This would be a perfect fit for TNT because TNT Knows Drama.
