The Room
Where the hell is my Scotchka!!!

If you haven’t seen “The Room”, then you have no idea how easy it is to waste six million dollars. Thankfully, writer/director/producer/lead actor Tommy Wiseau has given us a cinematic document on exactly that. It’s terrible in almost every way … except that it’s disturbingly fun to grab a bunch of friends, a truckload of adult beverages and combine the two while watching this masterpiece.

Midnight shows of the film can be found in various locales, most notably in Los Angeles which holds witching hour screenings each month to packed houses. The following guidelines will help add to the fun, or for those of you unable to see the beauty in such awful filmmaking, it will allow you to survive the ordeal.

Anytime you see the framed photo of a spoon on the living room table (don’t forget to yell “SPOON!”)

Anytime Tommy says “Oh, Hi”

Anytime you want Lisa to put clothes BACK ON

Anytime Denny says “drugs”

Anytime Mark says “best friend”

Anytime you see the Golden Gate bridge

Anytime a football is caught

Anytime you see the Painted Ladies housing area (you know, “Full House”), the first person to start singing the TV theme song gives out a drink to everyone else participating.
